Yesterday the ADP non-farm payroll data was released which recorded an additional 241,000 new jobs in the private sector last month. This data exceeds expectations of 208,000.

ADP non-farm payroll is data showing labor change in America involving only the private sector. This data is released by ADP (Automatic Data Processing, Inc).

This is the fifth consecutive time ADP-NFP data recorded an increase of more than 200,000.

The ADP said in a press conference, “The job market is growing with the addition of jobs remaining strong above 200,000. The tightening of the labor market is getting higher. ”

On Friday, April 6, non-farm payroll (NFP) data will be released by the US Department of Labor Statistics at 8.30pm. The NFP is expected to add 190,000 jobs, while the unemployment rate is projected to decline to 4.0% from 4.1% last month. Average hourly earnings are expected to rise by 0.3%.

The difference between ADP NFP and NFP data is the entity that issues this data. NFP data is released by the US Department of Labor Statistics while NFP ADP data is released by Automatic Data Processing, Inc. However, NFP data has a greater impact on the market than ADP NFP data.

ADP-NFP data only produces private sector employment data, but NFP data produces private and government employment data.
