Several major U.S. car manufacturing companies have filed lawsuits against the U.S. government over import taxes on Chinese spare parts.
According to the BBC, Tesla, Volvo, Ford, and Mercedes-Benz are unhappy with the customs duties introduced by the Trump administration and demand a refund.
The lawsuit was filed by all the companies a few days ago at the International Trade Court in New York.
All the firms also demanded that the import tax be withdrawn.
Mercedez-Benz asserted that the implementation of the tax affected imports of US $ 500 billion from China.
The US and China have imposed border taxes on goods and services with each other as part of the trade war.
Tensions between Washington and Beijing have escalated in recent weeks, particularly involving technology firms.
