19 Positive Indonesian MPs Covid-19!

 A total of 19 Indonesian MPs have been confirmed positive for Covid-19, in fact, the republic recorded a total of 3,492 cases of new infections within 24 hours! According to the Secretary-General of the House of Representatives (DPR) of the Republic of Indonesia, Indra Iskandar, there are a total of 42 members of the parliament have also been infected with the virus. Worse still when there is concern that more staff at the same location is confirmed positive Covid-19.

The last time the Indonesian House of Representatives, which has 575 members, met on October 5 when it passed the Omnibus Law on the Creation of Employment Opportunities, which also led to protests in Jakarta and several other cities on October 8 by those who opposed the law.

Meanwhile, last Friday, Member of Parliament for the Gerakan Indonesia Besar (Gerindra) party Soepriyatno was rumored to have died due to Covid-19.

Based on data submitted by the Indonesian National Board for Disaster Management (BNPB) on its official twitter page, the total number of positive cases in the republic has now increased to 336,716, cases of infection with a total death toll of 11,935 victims.

In addition, the Jakarta province is alleged to have recorded the highest number of positive cases, at 88,174, with the addition of 1,211 new positive cases within 24 hours.

However, Jakarta has re-enforced the recovery phase by enforcing large-scale social sanctions (PSBB) for 2 weeks starting today with some socio-economic activities allowed to resume operations.

According to the Governor of Jakarta, Anies Baswedan, PSBB is re-enforced because daily positive cases continue to increase.
