Nokia Will Build Mobile Network In The Moon!

According to an announcement, Nokia has been selected by NASA to develop the first cellular network of the month. This is because the US space agency is alleged to be bringing humans to the moon as well as building settlements there.

Based on the plan, NASA will take humans to the moon by 2024 and study its long-term presence there under its Artemis program.

Meanwhile, Nokia revealed that this is the first wireless broadband communication system in space and will be built on the moon's surface by the end of 2022.

In addition, they will work with Texas-based private spacecraft design company Intuitive Machines to deliver equipment to the moon. For everyone's knowledge, the network is rumored to be able to establish a 4G / LTE communication system on the moon.

In addition, the network will also provide astronaut voice and video communication capabilities, and enable the exchange of telemetry and biometric data, as well as the use and remote control of moon movers and other robotic devices.

In addition, the network is designed to control the extreme conditions of lunar launch and landing, and operate in space. Meanwhile, it needs to be sent to the moon in a very compact form to meet the size, weight, and suit the conditions there.

Not only that! Nokia says that the network will use 4G / LTE instead of the latest 5G technology, as its quantity is already known for its proven reliability. However, the company will still be pioneering the application space of LTE replacement technology, namely 5G.
