A digital portrait of the Bitcoin code has been successfully bid for over $ 130,000 to an unidentified bidder.

In fact, this is the first time a non-fungible token (NFT) artwork has been bid and the price is not all long-term, high value!

According to Christie’s bidding house, the art of ‘Block 21’ is an NFT art representing Bitcoin founder Satoshi Nakamoto.

Who would have thought, the physical art started bidding for $ 22,000 before closing at a bid price of $ 131,250 yesterday.

The art, produced by Ben Gentilli, in collaboration with the Robert Alice project, is one of 40 art series ‘Potraits of a Mind’. It stores 322,048 digits of the original Bitcoin code developed by Satoshi.

The entire art series has 12.3 million digits of crypto currency code drawn on 40 round shaped panels of varying sizes and if arranged reaching a length of over 50 meters.

‘Block 21’ is a symbolic of Satoshi’s vision translated through code, while the art series explains the identity of the founder from various angles.

‘Block 21’ is also the only piece of art that Christie’s house is bidding on and his name refers to the limited amount of bitcoin mining of just 21 million coins.

Other individuals who also bought art from ‘Portraits of a Mind’ included Binance founder Changpeng Zhao and Bloq chairman Matthew Rozsak.
