Joe Biden Reveals Candidates Important Portfolio of His Administration

 US Presidential candidate Joe Biden reveals six officials who will hold important portfolios in his administration in the future.


According to Reuters, Avril Haines will be the first woman to hold the post of Director of National Intelligence and Alejandro Mayorkas will be appointed to head the Department of Homeland Security.


In addition, Antony Blinken was appointed Secretary of State; Biden appointed John Kerry as climate change representative; Jake Sullivan has been appointed White House National Security Adviser while Linda Thomas-Greenfield will hold the portfolio as US Ambassador to the United Nations (UN).


Biden is expected to announce the appointment of Janet Yellen as Treasury Secretary.


All the appointments, however, still need to get approval from the Senate.



"America is back and ready to lead the world, it will not budge from it," Biden said.


Biden added that he emphasized the need to rebuild the alliance as well as address coronavirus and climate change.


Meanwhile, Biden said he was planning to meet with the Covid-19 special task force at the White House regarding the distribution and access of vaccines.


US President Donald Trump has agreed that a move to power should be initiated and Biden is allowed to receive briefings on intelligence information.


In addition, Biden is also allowed to receive the President's daily briefing, especially on the latest developments on international threats and developments as well as access to top government officials as well as multi-million dollar funds ahead of his official appointment on January 20.


Recently, the states of Pennsylvania and Michigan confirmed Biden’s victory.
