Grayscale once again set a new record, receiving the highest investment of $ 215 million (15,907 BTC) to the Trust, surpassing the record of all previous investments.
Currently, the firm has an asset record worth $ 6.7 billion (481,711 BTC).
If Grayscale continues to record a growth rate of 32,000 BTC last month, the firm’s mission to own 500,000 BTC is not impossible in just three weeks.
In fact, if this momentum can be maintained until the end of 2021, Grayscale may be able to control bitcoin assets up to 926,600 BTC (equivalent to 5% of the current Bitcoin supply).
The firm's performance is undeniable especially during 2020 with its Asset Under Management (AUM) record increasing from $ 1.9 billion to $ 4.7 billion for the first nine months.
This means that since Grayscale's third quarter report last month, AUM Bitcoin Trust has received another $ 2 billion increase.
Grayscale topped the Bitcoin ownership chart, beating several other large firms. As of October, another 12 companies carry a record of Bitcoin ownership of 150,000 BTC with the majority belonging to CoinShares (69,730 BTC), Microstrategy (38,250 BTC), Galaxy Digital (16,551 BTC) and Square (4,709 BTC).
In total, 13 firms have a total holdings of 600,000 BTC worth $ 6.86 billion.
