Add RDIF, the price of Sputnik V will be twice as much or many times cheaper than other competitors' vaccines. Russia-produced vaccines are believed to have similar efficacy rates based on cellular technology. However, for Russians, vaccination with Sputnik V is free.
Some observers have argued that the statement seems to refer to comparisons with Pfizer and BioNtech, and Moderna vaccines made using RNA or mRNA technology. Both have reported that their vaccines have an over 90% effectiveness in preventing the Covid-19 pandemic.
Previously, the price of Pfizer and BioNTech was reported to reach around $ 20 per dose, while CEO Moderna said two days ago that the vaccine would cost between $ 25- $ 37 per dose depending on the amount ordered. Each requires two doses.
The current market focus is no longer tied to vaccine effectiveness reports but is more focused on practicality issues such as cost, logistics and vaccine distribution.
