US President Donald Trump yesterday announced he would leave the White House if the House of Representatives confirms Joe Biden as the winner during the presidential election.
Trump said so in the White House after speaking to U.S. troops in conjunction with Thanksgiving Day.
Biden won the presidential election with 306 votes in the House of Representatives compared to 232 won by Trump. Biden also topped Trump in terms of popularity votes with an advantage of 6 million votes.
Trump is currently refusing to confirm Biden's victory and continues to claim that the election was filled with elements of fraud.
However, Trump's allegations were deemed baseless because he did not present solid evidence.
The Election Hall will meet on December 14. Biden will be officially inaugurated as President on January 20.
