How does it feel to buy pizza using cryptocurrencies?
Crypto service firm CryptoBuyer on Twitter announced Pizza Hut is now accepting crypto as a food and beverage payment medium.
The announcement was made last Friday, explaining the success as a result of a collaboration with Mega Soft to highlight crypto payments in Venezuala through more than 20,000 stores and businesses.
Pizza purchases using crypto include all Pizza Hut business premises in the South American region only such as Caracas, Maracay, Maracaibo and Barquisimeto
Pizza Hut fans can pay using Bitcoin (BTC), Litecoin (LTC), Dash (DASH), Binance Coin (BNB), Binance USD (BUSD), Ether (ETH), Tether (USDT), Dai (DAI), and tokens locally, XPT through the CryptoBuyer platform.
CryptoBuyer is a crypto currency gateway merchant that also operates Bitcoin ATMs covering Central and South America.
Prior to Pizza Hut, the firm worked on crypto payments for Burger King, Tamanaco Intercontinental Hotel in Caracas and Venezuela's largest retail company, Traki.
Actually this is not the first time pizza can be bought using crypto. Turns out in 2010, a programmer who was also a Bitcoin fan, Laszlo Hanyecz bought two pieces of Papa John pizza with 10,000 BTC at a value of $ 41 at the time ($ 181 million latest price).
