The European Union (EU) announced a new plan on Wednesday, an attempt to improve diplomatic relations with the United States under Joe Biden.
To date, the diplomatic relations between the U.S. and the EU have been strained for 4 years due to tensions over trade, defense, technology and foreign relations.
Ahead of the transfer of power to the Biden administration in the White House in January, the EU has chosen to accelerate improving diplomatic ties by completing new plans.
According to European Commission President Ursula Von der Leyen in a statement on Wednesday, the EU took the initiative to plan a new transatlantic agenda in line with today's global landscape.
In the latest plan, the EU sets out four key policy areas that should be the focus. Among the 4 main areas are first and second are technology and trade, third, Covid-19 pandemic and lastly environmental and security issues.
The Euro continued to depreciate since the beginning of the opening of European trade against the US dollar with a decline of 0.02% to the 1.2068 exchange rate as of 10.30 p.m.
