According to a report, Saudi Arabia has approved the use of the Pfizer vaccine and is the second Arab country to do so after Bahrain. Even the Saudi Food and Drug Administration (SFDA) has submitted approval for the registration of Pfizer and BioNTech vaccines in Saudi Arabia.
Based on a statement, the country is alleged to have imported and used the vaccine. However, the organizations involved did not disclose the time of vaccine use that had been developed by Pfizer and BioNTech.
Earlier, Bahrain had made an announcement that they had approved the emergency use of the same vaccine as well as in Europe, Britain and Canada which did the same.
In addition, US regulators are rumored to have held a meeting aimed at evaluating the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine for emergency use approval in the worst-affected country in the world, recording more than 15 million cases of Covid-19 infection with about 290,000 fatalities recorded.
For everyone's knowledge, Saudi Arabia has reported nearly 360,000 cases of COVID-19 infection, the highest number among the gulf countries, but recorded a high recovery rate.
