 Have you just ‘jumped’ into the world of Forex or crypto?

If so, you are already on the right channel to learn the terms or slang that you often encounter but it is difficult to understand its meaning.

1. FUD (FEAR, UNCERTAINTY, DOUBT)

It means the spread of fear and the spread of false information by those who want to make a profit.

For example, an investor puts an asset in a short position, then spreads negative news until the asset price falls to the desired position. This is usually done by large investors or institutions in order to reap high profits quickly.

That is why we need to analyze and take into account many views before believing a rumor.

2. FOMO (FEAR OF MISSING OUT)

Feelings when making a panic purchase or more simply, feelings of investors when making asset purchases en masse for fear of lagging behind in making a profit.

The feeling of FOMO always occurs when the bull market causes many to buy assets when the price is at its peak. Similarly, when prices fall (bull market) the feeling of FOMO can occur causing sales to panic even if they have to bear the loss.

An increase in FOMO in large numbers of investors could cause parabolic price movements and many will be entangled.

3. HODL

One of the investment techniques: buy and save for the long term.

HODLing refers to the ownership of an investment or holding the asset even if the price is declining. HODLers mean investors who hold assets for a long period of time.

4. BUIDL

These terms refer to investors who consistently strengthen their investment techniques regardless of price fluctuations.

BUIDLers typically emphasize the potential of blockchain and cryptocurrency as a technology that benefits the world.

5. SAFU

It refers to funds are safe during the maintenance of an unexpected platform.

6. ROI (RETURN ON INVESTMENT)

ROI means how much you lose or gain in investment. It involves a return on investment compared to the original expense.

Suppose you buy Bitcoin (BTC) for $ 16,000. The latest price was $ 19,000. The calculation is as follows:

ROI = 19,000-16,000 / 16,000

ROI = 0.19
