US President Donald Trump's latest statement on the possibility of him not signing aid packages has raised concerns that the country is experiencing a 'government shutdown'.
If this happens, government offices that are not categorized as important should be closed due to lack of funds.
When government operations move slowly or stop, it will affect business in the government sector, as well as the whole economy will also have the same effect.
While Trump has not openly said he will veto the bill (Bill) of coronavirus spending for the $ 1.4 trillion government, he can prevent it from becoming law, through ‘pocket veto’.
Pocket veto is legislation that allows a president or other official with veto power, to exercise that power over the law without taking action or in other words, keeping it in their pocket.
Trump now has until December 28 or next Monday to sign the bill into law, government shutdown will take place on December 29.
Meanwhile, following Trump's statement asking for help to be raised to $ 2,000, the Speaker of the Pelosi House welcomed the call and said Democrats were ready to increase it.
