US President Joe Biden is not sure if many members of the Republican Senate will vote on a motion to sue former President Donald Trump.
Yesterday Biden told CNN he did not believe the Democratic Senate would get support from 17 Republican allies for the Trump prosecution trial.
Bernama reported that earlier, the House of Representatives had submitted matters related to the prosecution to the Senate, which accused Trump of inciting an uprising at the US Capitol on January 6.
The uprising killed at least five people and injured dozens more.
U.S. Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer said last week that the trial to prosecute Trump is scheduled for February 8.
This is the first time in U.S. history that a President has faced two prosecutions.
The Democrats had previously described Trump as a threat to the country following the bad incident.
Following the incident, various social media platforms such as Twitter, Facebook and YouTube blocked Trump.
