The United States House of Representatives (US) unanimously fired President Donald Trump for making seditious remarks that sparked riots at the Capitol building last week.
A total of 10 Republicans sided with Democrats to oust Trump by a majority of 232 votes to 197.
Trump was the first President in U.S. history to be ousted twice or charged with criminal misconduct by Congress.
Trump, who is also a Republican, will face trial in the Senate and if he is found guilty, Trump will not be allowed to hold any other position.
However, Trump will remain President until the end of his administration next week as the Senate is not expected to sit in the near future.
According to House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, Trump should be fired for threatening security to the US.
In the January 6 incident, Trump supporters stormed the Capitol, killing five people and injuring dozens more.
