Lazada Malaysia has stepped in to help more than 70,000 local small and medium enterprises (SMEs) continue to survive throughout the second movement control order (MCO) with its stimulus package, ‘Package Package 2.0’, worth RM44 million.

In addition, the initiative aims to overcome business problems and provide efficient solutions with subsidies and bonus disclosures to help local SMEs increase their online sales.

Based on a statement submitted by chief business officer Sherry Tan, more than 1 in 3 Malaysians spend on the Lazada app every month, the platform can help local SMEs as well as enable them to maintain job stability for their employees.

For the first Smart Shop Package stimulus package launched during the MCO last year, local SMEs on the platform are alleged to have generated sales more than 2 times.

In addition, the Smart Shop 2.0 Package will help loosen the barriers to digitalization as SMEs with little or zero experience in eCommerce can diversify their revenue streams easily from without the need for additional capital.

Therefore, the business sector can register for the stimulus package from now until 28 February 2021 at http://lzd.co/SellOnLazadaMY

Through the package, participating sellers will enjoy zero percent commission rates, payment fee exemption, 90-day specialized store development support, Lazada University training, subsidized advertising credits for Sponsored Search, free product exposure slots at Lazada Quick Sale, and more .
