Emirates airlines today began offering their employees a Covid-19 vaccination program with priority given to frontline employees such as cabin crew and pilots.

According to the parent company Emirates Group, the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine and another developed by China National Pharmaceutical Group (Sinopharm) are available to all employees in the United Arab Emirates.

For everyone's knowledge, these two vaccines are already available to the general public in the United Arab Emirates with priority given to specific groups.

In addition, Emirates Group, which has about 80,000 employees worldwide, also calculates airport service providers and travel among its assets, along with state airlines.

Meanwhile, Singapore on the same day also urged employees at its national airline, Singapore Airlines, to help make it the first airline in the world with all staff vaccinated against Covid-19.

It is common knowledge that the tourism industry has become one of the most affected sectors as a result of the Covid-19 crisis and the increase in cases of global infections has led to curfews in most countries.

However, Emirates President Tim Clark has expressed confidence that the entire fleet of their 275 jets will be in use later this year despite an increase in global cases.
