Former President of the United States (US), Donald Trump delivered his final speech before leaving the White House via his YouTube channel.
"We do what we should do and more. I went through a difficult battle, the hardest because you chose me to do it, ”said Trump.
Trump has so far not fully accepted the results of the November presidential election.
The last two weeks of Trump as President have been filled with bad incidents involving his supporters who raided the Capitol building resulting in about five deaths and dozens more injured.
"Political violence is an attack on all the things we love as Americans. That should never be taken lightly, "added Trump.
According to Trump, his administration has built the 'greatest economy in world history'.
The US stock market has recovered from the coronavirus pandemic with the Nasdaq index soaring 42% last year the S&P 500 also increased by 15%.
However, other sectors of the economy are still facing difficulties. Employers had to reduce recruitment last month.
In addition, US retail sales have been declining in recent months while unemployment claims are on the rise.
"Our agenda is not about the right or the left, not about Republicans or Democrats but about the good of the country and that means the whole country," Trump said.
Trump left the White House with a support percentage of only 34%, the lowest for a resigning President.
