Democrat Joe Biden will be sworn in as the 46th president of the United States on Wednesday. The transition comes amid a contagious Covid-19 epidemic and disintegration brings new hope.
After taking the oath of office, Biden will be installed as the oldest U.S. president in history at the age of 78. The Democrats will take the oath of office before Chief Justice John Roberts.
With the legal appointment of Joe Biden, he is expected to announce an immigration bill that will provide an opportunity for millions of foreigners to obtain citizenship status. This policy is one of the opposing policies imposed by Trump.
According to Jen Psaki's spokesperson, Biden, will sign 15 executive actions on Wednesday. 6 of those actions focus on immigration issues and indirectly it will be the first issue to be debated Joe Biden.
The executive also lifted travel bans to several countries, stopped the construction of the US-Mexico border wall and revoked Trump's order banning foreigners from living in the United States.
On the other hand, former US President Donald Trump today delivered his final speech before leaving the White House via his YouTube channel.
Trump has so far not fully accepted the results of the November presidential election.
The last two weeks of Trump as President have been filled with bad incidents involving his supporters who raided the Capitol building resulting in about five deaths and dozens more injured.
Trump left the White House with a support percentage of only 34%, the lowest for a resigning President.
