Ripple Does Not Give Up, Will Launch XRPL

Despite facing a lawsuit from the United States Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), Ripple still seems to want to launch XRP Ledger (XRPL) to central banks.

The blockchain firm appointed three technical managers along with the central bank for its offices in San Francisco, New York and London to assist in the design and use of the central bank's digital currency (CBDC).

XRPL has been developed to support the issuance of stablecoins with a unique feature and similar token function known as ‘Issue Currency’.

Ripple explains, "Currency Issue is designed as an ideal stablecoin platform to facilitate issuers to create, issue and manage any assets including stablecoins, using simple management with multiple functions".

Earlier the Office of the Currency Supervisor (OCC) had allowed central banks to use stablecoins in payments while serving as nodes in INVN (independent node authentication network).

Ripple seems to be relentless in wanting to expand its network. At the time of writing, the firm is currently offering 27 positions worldwide.

Most recently, they have received a former executive with 15 years of experience with Amazon, Devraj Varadhan as the latest Senior Vice President.

Varadhan, who heads the Ripple engineering team, also developed cloud software and enterprise with Microsoft for two years.
