Several social media outlets blocked President Donald Trump's account for allegedly uploading statements to his supporters who attacked the United States (US) Capitol building.
Twitter acted to block Trump's account for 12 hours because of excessive rhetorical language and warned the account might be completely shut down if it still violates the rules.
"Following the unprecedented and ongoing turmoil situation in Washington, DC, we have ordered three @realDonaldTrump Tweets posted earlier today to be deleted for violating the rules on our Civic Integrity policy," the social media company said on its website as reported by Bernama.
"This means that @realDonaldTrump account will be blocked for 12 hours. If the Tweet is still not deleted the account will still be blocked. ”
The company added that if after this it still violates the rules 'will result in the @realDonaldTrump account being shut down'.
Twitter previously blocked three Trump remarks.
Among Trump's remarks through the video he uploaded reiterated his claim that the presidential election was 'stolen from us' and urged his supporters to return. Trump's second speech defends what his supporters are doing.
Facebook blocked Trump's account for 24 hours and YouTube also withdrew the same video.
Trump and his political allies for months have accused the last presidential election of being fraudulent and seven million fraudulent votes sparking outrage among his supporters.
The Justice Department, however, found no evidence to support Trump's allegations.
