YouTube blocked uploads and comments on President Donald Trump's channel for at least another week due to terror concerns ahead of the appointment of his successor, Joe Biden.
"Following concerns over the potential for violence, Donald Trump's channel was blocked from uploading new videos or live broadcasts for a minimum of seven days.
"As we have shared before, comments will continue to be deactivated from videos on the channel," Youtube parent company Google said in a statement as reported by Bernama.
Trump's YouTube channel was blocked from uploading new content and interactions with viewers after the January 6 riots on Capitol Hill in the United States (US), when his supporters stormed the federal legislature building in an effort to prevent Representatives from confirming Biden's election victory.
Trump has been accused of sedition for his fiery speech near Capitol Hill, but has denied the allegations.
The tragic incident left five dead and dozens more injured.
The Federal Bureau of Investigation issued a warning last week about armed protests planned at Biden's inauguration ceremony in Washington today and in all 50 U.S. states. Thousands of military forces and law enforcement have been deployed to control the capital.
