Urge for Urge But Has Trump Confessed Losing?

 The U.S. Congress today confirmed the election of Joe Biden as president, a day after pro-Trump intruders attacked Capitol Hill to protest the election results.


Earlier protesters reportedly clashed with police as they tried to storm to enter the Capitol building while chanting slogans and waving pro-Trump flags as well as the United States (US), demanding that the election results be overturned.


The situation worsened after there were reports that a woman was shot dead during the riots. The situation began to get under control after Congress confirmed the election of Joe Biden as president.



President Donald Trump initially refused to admit defeat but after various pressures he finally promised to hand over power in the right way. Trump stated that although he did not agree with the election results but ahead of the transition on January 20 he would not give up.


"We will continue the struggle to ensure that only valid votes are counted".


President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Hariss garnered 306 electoral votes, which is 36 more votes than is needed to win the White House. This vote far surpassed Trump who only garnered 232 votes.


Finally, he also expressed regret over the riots and called for the riots to end and the supporters to return to their homes.
