The U.S. House of Representatives is expected to hold an early vote tomorrow on the dismissal act against President Donald Trump.
The Democrats plan to introduce allegations of ‘sedition incitement’ against Trump over his role in the Capitol riots incident.
Democrat James Clyburn told CNN the move was implemented this week.
But the Democrats are unlikely to submit any articles to the Senate for trial until the 100th day of Joe Biden's presidency.
"It is better to give Biden the 100 days he needs to implement his agenda," Clyburn said.
Democrats want to give Biden a chance to ratify the new Cabinet and implement its main agenda such as addressing the coronavirus before submitting anything to the Senate.
Meanwhile, Trump has not issued any statement since he was blocked from several social media sites including Twitter.
Meanwhile, Republican Senator Pat Toomey urged Trump to step down.
"I think the best way for our country is for the President to resign and leave as soon as possible," Toomey told NBC.
In addition, former California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger labeled Trump as the worst President through a video uploaded on Twitter yesterday.
