The second largest firm in the United States (US), Microsoft does not seem to plan to invest in Bitcoin (BTC) in the near future.
However, in an interview with CNN today, Microsoft president Brad Smith said it would be possible if one day they change their mind and are interested in investing in BTC.
When asked if Microsoft had any plans to diversify its cryptocurrency investments following Tesla's recent investment of $ 1.5 billion in Bitcoin, Smith admitted that so far there has been no discussion of cryptocurrency investments.
As you can see, the volume of Bitcoin market capitalization is chasing down some of the big US firms.
So far, the cryptocurrency market capitalization has managed to surpass Tesla by around $ 808 billion as soon as the firm announced its investment in Bitcoin.
At the time of writing, Bitcoin has recorded a total market capitalization of $ 954 billion and needs to jump twice to surpass Microsoft which currently has a market capitalization of $ 1.8 trillion.
JPMorgan Chase president Daniel Pinto previously predicted more firms would start venturing into Bitcoin investments due to rising demand.
However, JPMorgan's strategists acted on the allegation, explaining that the purchase of BTC by Tesla would not necessarily affect other institutions due to the very high volatile nature of cryptocurrencies.
