While the world community, some of which have already received the Covid-19 vaccine, has a different story in Palestine.
Israel is accused of blocking the delivery of the Covid-19 vaccine to Palestine.
The matter was conveyed by the Palestinian Authority (PA) who informed that they have not received any dose of vaccine until now.
According to PA officials, Palestinians tried to send 2,000 doses of Russian Sputnik V vaccine from the West Bank region to Gaza yesterday but the Zionist regime stopped the shipment at the West Bank checkpoint and claimed Palestine was not allowed to continue its journey to Gaza.
Israeli authorities claim the PA's application to send the vaccine is being scrutinized and has not yet been given any approval.
However, PA officials said they had submitted a submission application to the Israeli defense authorities on February 4.
"Today, as many as 2,000 doses of Russian Sputnik V vaccine were sent to enter the Gaza Strip but Israel blocked their journey.
"The doses of the vaccine are reserved for medical staff working in the Covid-19 patient care unit and also for staff working in the emergency department," according to a statement issued by PA Health Minister Mai Alkaila.
Adding to the statement, all the vaccines had to be brought back to Ramallah because they had to be stored under cold temperatures.
