Tensions between the United States and China have lasted for several years. Negotiations after negotiations have been held but have not yielded significant results. Since Joe Biden's inauguration as U.S. President, there has been a question mark as to whether Biden will follow in Trump's footsteps?

In a recent report, President Joe Biden has issued a statement that the U.S. administration is ready to face fierce competition with China but his approach will be different from his predecessor.

Biden said, "I will not do it as Trump did. Our administration will focus and judge according to international rules. He added that there should be no conflict but there should be fierce competition.

In an interview with CBS, Biden said he had not held talks with Xi Jinping since his coronation. But based on previous online communications with China's Vice President, Biden described Xi Jinping's senior as very smart and tough. For the past four years, Trump has blamed China for various grievances, including intellectual property theft, unfair trade practices and blames China for the Covid-19 epidemic.

Last week, Biden said he would work with allies to face China. At the same time he is also open to cooperating with Beijing if it brings interest to America.
