US Senate Blocks Biden Efforts To Raise Minimum Wage!

As the U.S. House of Representatives is scheduled to vote on a $ 1.9 trillion stimulus package today, Senate lawmakers decided that the House could not include a minimum wage of $ 15 per hour as proposed by President Joe Biden in the aid plan.

Senate MP Elizabeth MacDonough found that salary allocations have no fiscal impact affecting the economy to meet budget adjustment requirements.

However, Speaker of the House of Representatives Nancy Pelosi said the minimum wage of $ 15 will still be included in the bill that will be voted on by the House today.

Meanwhile, according to White House spokeswoman Jen Psaki, Biden was disappointed with the Senate's decision. However, he will work to work with leaders in Congress to make this a success.

Democrats hope to include a clause on minimum wage increases in the bill to help reduce the economic impact and better pay workers who have been serving low wages.

Senate Democrat Leader Chuck Schumer said they would not relinquish the struggle to raise the minimum wage to $ 15 to help millions of American workers.
