In an interview with CNBC, Dallas Federal Reserve President Robert Kaplan expressed his view that he is inclined to a possible interest rate hike before the end of 2022.

He also does not see that inflation will be a problem or a hindrance in the near future. In fact, it is possible that the economy is advanced enough to allow the Fed to raise interest rates.

Based on expectations released by The Fed for each quarter. Only 3 FOMC officials out of 18 members agreed and shared Kaplan's views. Other members are even of the view that the increase in interest is likely to increase in 2023.

While the Fed did not announce the views of their members but Kaplan wanted to take a different stance by sharing his own predictions on the state of the economy and interest rate crossings.

On the other hand, Kaplan expects gross GDP growth to be 6.5% in 2021.
