Over a year of work, MWEB or known as MimbleWimble Extension Block finally has ‘COMPLETE’ status according to chief developer, David Burkett.

The code generated for the MimbleWimble Extension Block is ready for audit execution from other developers.

However, the process is not impossible to take quite a long time, weeks or months depending on the correction.

The code will then be entered into Litecoin’s main database and it depends on the community when MWEB will be activated.

In fact, the MWEB update could improve Litecoin’s key features namely functionality and privacy. It has gone through a testing phase starting in October 2020 for five months.

Litecoin founder Charlie Lee believes, functionality, privacy and scalability are key to the evolution of LTC.

Functionality introduces the concept of multiple interchangeable items. For example, one USD = $ 1. However, the concept is not subject to any cryptocurrency as transactions will be recorded on the blockchain.

So, funds used for illegal activities will be eliminated.

Litecoin has posted a 60% increase starting 2021. At the time of writing, LTC is trading at $ 201, down 1.53% in 24 hours.
