The U.S. House of Representatives passed a motion to provide opportunities for children illegally brought into the U.S. as well as immigrants with temporary protection status.

U.S. President Joe Biden wants Congress to pass legislation to resolve citizenship issues for nearly 11 million immigrants living in the U.S. as well as create a temporary visa program for migrant workers in certain industries.

Yesterday, the House of Representatives passed the American Dream and Promise Act after receiving 228 votes in favor while 197 votes against.

The decision will then be submitted to the Senate for debate.

The Bill (RUU) also paves the way for immigrants whose applications were previously delayed to obtain citizenship.
