Venture capitalist Tim Draper, who is an influential person in the world of technology, has recently expressed his views on the trend of industry interest in cryptocurrencies.
Last month, the crypto market was shocked by a drastic move taken by the world’s largest automotive company, Tesla which invested billions of dollars into Bitcoin. Tesla’s move has shocked many industry players to scramble for the opportunities offered in the crypto market.
In this regard, Tim Draper argues that there is a high probability that Netflix will be the next company to invest in Bitcoin. His argument is based on an assessment of Netflix chief executive Reed Hastings. Draper also added, if he were the chief financial officer of any large firm, he would advise the firm to invest in Bitcoin.
Draper argues that Hastings is a very innovative man and has a lot of creative thinking. Coupled with a number of other factors such as the pattern of steps that Hastings once took then Draper expects bitcoin investing to be the next thing.
As noted by many analysts, growing institutional interest has driven the upward momentum in the bitcoin market. While there are no new big names announcing massive investments, early firms like Square and MicroStrategy continue to add to bitcoin savings.
On the other hand Draper added that eCommerce giant Amazon is also likely to start accepting Bitcoin as a payment tool. If this is the case people use crypto assets to make purchases.
