Cardano Staking Record (ADA) Cut Polkadot Positioning (DOT)

 Unexpectedly the total staking at Cardano (ADA) has topped Polkadot (DOT) with a record approaching $ 30 billion based on analysis from CryptoDiffer.


Cardano topped the chart with a staking record reaching $ 28.95, fiercely beating Polkadot which saw total staking at $ 25.43 billion.


Based on Cardano’s overall market value of $ 36.6 billion, as much as 73% of the ADA was at stake.



For the record, Cardano’s staking began when in the Shelley phase introduced in July 2020. At that time there were only 700 active pools before tripping to the current record of 2,300 pools.


This positive data has been a record high of any platform as confidence rates are rising among consumers towards Cardano.


However, the ADA price performance on Sunday showed a decline of up to 26% to a weekly low of $ 1.13.


At the time of writing, the ADA is trading at $ 1.18 slightly up from the week’s decline but is still down over 8% for the 24 -hour period.
