Censof Shares Rise To 5 -Year High!

 Technology company, Censof Holdings Bhd, named as a partner of Microsoft under the Bersama Malaysia initiative, saw its share price soar to its highest level in five years in an active morning trading session today.


At 9.57am, Censof shares rose 34.21% or 13 sen to 51 sen, bringing its market capitalization to RM271.83 million.


Turnover stood at 174.83 million, surpassing its 200 -day moving average of 8.59 million.


The stock jumped 88.9% year to date (YTD) from when it traded at 26.5 sen per share on December 31 last year.



Yesterday, the government announced a partnership with Microsoft under the Bersama Malaysia initiative, which saw the establishment of its first regional data center in the country.


Microsoft signed five memoranda of understanding (MoUs) with government agencies and local companies to train about one million Malaysians by 2023 to help create economic opportunities for citizens as well as businesses in the digital age.


Microsoft announced that it will work with Censoft, Silverlake Group and Web Bytes to drive the digital transformation of the country's key industries.


Earlier this month, Censof completed the acquisition of a 30.87% equity stake in Asian Business Software Solutions Pte Ltd for RM14.1 million.


Asian Business Software is involved in the development and supply of accounting and financial management software for small and medium enterprises (SMEs).
