No More Coinbase HQ, This Firm Chooses To Work Remote

Coinbase abruptly announced it would close its parent branch located in San Francisco, entirely in 2022 because it wanted to fully work remotely.

The decision was announced personally on the Twitter page @CoinbaseNews yesterday after being convinced to no longer work according to the conventional model since the outbreak of COVID-19 around the world to cause a change in living norms.

Coinbase emphasizes wanting more decentralization without having to go to the office:

"It's an important decision in ensuring that no branch becomes a parent, and career outcomes will depend entirely on abilities and outputs, no longer on location."

However, Coinbase will not neglect the welfare of its employees. The firm offers several small -sized offices for the benefit of its employees around the world.

This reflects the decision of another crypto exchange platform, Binance which has decided there is no parent branch since long ago because Bitcoin (BTC) does not own it.

While this decision is seen as making it difficult for them to meet face to face, again if an important reunion is needed, Coinbase CEO Brian Armstrong sees it as a good opportunity to get potential employees from all over the world, no longer limited to San Francisco and surrounding areas.

Perhaps, after Binance and Coinbase, more firms from various sectors will also apply the same results if they succeed in producing better success than working conventionally.
