The World Economic Forum (WEF) has released a report on cryptocurrencies for the June issue.
The report not only touches on the basics of cryptocurrencies and the blockchain, but also lists several cryptocurrencies that are certified for their scalability and are believed to have great potential for a long time.
While the crypto sector especially Bitcoin (BTC) received a range of criticism starting with criticism by US Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen, Japan’s central bank governor Haruhiko Kuroda, and most recently, CPB Netherlands director Pieter Hasekamp, the WEF thinks otherwise.
According to the organization, these cryptocurrencies have great potential in terms of the ability to handle a large number of transactions in their respective networks:
- Bitcoin
- Ethereum
- Algorand
- Cardano
- Cello
- XRPL
- Solana
- Stellar
With negative sentiment surrounding the crypto sector, WEF is already early on making the latest comprehensive guide details related to transactions, dApps, administrative systems, scalability and considerations in legislation specific to individuals, professionals.
"Cryptocurrencies have changed the pattern of trading activities, transactions and interactions online, making it very important for technology leaders to explore these innovations on their own," he explained.
WEF is an international NGO organization based in Switzerland. It was founded in January 1971 with the objective of wanting to improve the state of the world by involving business, politics, academia and community leaders to shape global, regional and industrial agendas.
