Sajid Javid, the new UK Health Secretary, has vowed to do everything he can to restore normal life as soon as possible from the Covid-19 outbreak.
The former Finance Minister was appointed the new Health Secretary on Sunday, to replace Matt Hancock who was previously accused of violating Covid-19 rules.
The issue of breaches of the rule has aroused the ire of UK citizens because of the fact that he himself set the directive to keep social incarceration in a bid to break the Covid-19 network in the UK.
With the appointment of Sajid Javid, he has to ensure the vaccination program maintains its momentum, tackles the outbreak of new outbreaks following the Delta variant outbreak and deals with the health workforce demanding a pay rise after 18 months of hard work.
He is expected to provide updates to lawmakers on when coronavirus control measures can be fully lifted in England.
Prime Minister Boris Johnson had previously said that the sanctions would be relaxed on July 10, but also promised to review the data to see if they could be lifted two weeks earlier on July 5.
The pound posted a surge at the beginning of the European session above 1.39000 against the US dollar, before easing gains slightly.
