The Securities Commission Malaysia (SC) is requesting information from the public to track down a former unit trust consultant, Harani Kamarudin, who is suspected of committing several misconduct related to unit trust investment.
In a statement today, the SC said Harani's registration, 37, as a member of the Federation of Investment Managers Malaysia (FIMM) was revoked on November 27 last year and she had served with Eastspring Investments Berhad as a unit trust consultant.
The SC is investigating Harani in connection with breaches of securities laws under Section 354 of the Capital Markets and Services Act 2007 (CMSA), read in conjunction with Paragraphs 3.3.7 (a) and 3.1.12 (d) of the FIMM Code of Ethics and Rules of Professional Conduct (Unit Trust Fund), ”he said as reported by Bernama.
