No Covid-19 Deaths, Will Johnson Continue ‘Lockdown’?

Boris Johnson reiterated that his administration is in the process of lifting sanctions this month as scheduled after yesterday showed that there were no deaths for Covid-19 cases for the first time since the outbreak.

The UK has so far recorded more than 127,000 deaths from Covid-19 since the start of the pandemic outbreak, the highest number in Europe. Thus zero deaths due to Covid-19 become a symbolic sign even though the number of daily deaths tends to increase.

This positive news has prompted Johnson to assert that the previously planned plan is most likely to succeed. Even so he did not comment much on the impact of the vaccine’s effectiveness and noted that so far it is still vague and needs more time.

The main focus now is on cases of the new variant of Covid-19 infection. The expectation that 3/4 of adults will receive the first dose injection of the vaccine starts today. The GBP continued to strengthen against the US dollar by 0.14% to 1.4167.
