Not only were anchovy investors stunned by the crypto market crash, Ethereum founder Vitalik Buterin was also not left behind when he reportedly recorded a loss of over $ 400 million!
At the time this article was written Buterin had two primary ether addresses which each had 325,001 and 1,366 ETH with a cumulative value of $ 637.39 million (326,367 ETH) based on Ethereum’s current value, $ 1,953.
Earlier on May 3, Buterin was crowned a crypto millionaire when his holdings hit $ 1.09 billion when the figure owned 333,520 ETH and ether at the time traded at $ 3,278.
However with the price of ETH declining more than 50% since the all -time high (ATH), $ 4,362 on May 12, making the loss incurred by Buterin amounted to $ 455,883,809.
The total loss also includes the difference in the amount of ether recorded, 7,153 ETH.
Ethereum was also affected with the market value registering a decline of more than 11% in 24 hours to the current total of $ 226.08 billion.
