Bursa Malaysia Virtual Market Exhibition Recorded 8,000 Participants

 The Bursa Malaysia Virtual Market Exhibition which took place on 10 July 2021 drew 8,000 entries and was the first virtual exhibition held.


When the event took place, it was well received with the participation of 13 brokerage partners providing virtual booths and several talks by product experts and corporate leaders.


The purpose of this exhibition is also for different uses in investors as well as want to provide a clearer knowledge in investment needs.


Bursa Malaysia Securities Team Director, Azhar Mohd Zabidi pointed out the fact that retail investors have always been a priority for the exchange as they will make a positive impact on market liquidity.



Apart from that, Azhar also said that investors need to strengthen their initial knowledge of the basic and technical aspects before investing in the instruments of interest. In -depth research and analysis needs to be done for higher markets and options.


Bursa Malaysia has seen significant growth in participation from retail investors since the onset of the Covid-19 pandemic.


As a result, it has gained the percentage available in a decade for trading volume with a contribution of 34% gaining the participation of retail investors.


As of 2021, the participation of retail investors continues to show positive momentum and it can be seen that the Bursa Malaysia market continues to receive a warm response.
