According to data from Cross-Sell, a research company that organizes registration data noted that the success of the Tesla-owned Model Y continues to be a stepping stone in demand for Tesla vehicles.

In line with that aspect, it has supported the registration of Tesla vehicles in California to record an increase rate of over 85% in the second quarter if desired compared to last year.

By addressing the semiconductor shortage and relying on sales of its cheaper models, it continued to influence vehicle delivery records in the April to June quarters.

Through Cross-Sell data released on July 15, registrations for the Model Y which is Tesla’s electric crossover utility vehicle have jumped more than seven-fold to 13,581.

The company's second quarter earnings report scheduled for July 26 will be the main focus for investors who are waiting to see whether the fall in cryptocurrency will disrupt the upcoming data or not.

Total vehicle registrations in the second quarter in 23 states totaled 46,926 with the Model Y accounting for more than half of registrations.

California is the largest contributor to these vehicle registrations compared to other states with a total of 23,556 registrations.

In May, Elon Musk said that price pressures on key supply chains including raw materials had prompted Tesla to raise the price of its vehicles in recent months.
