This Stock Trading Volume Surprised With A 10 -Fold Jump

 Opcom Holdings Bhd's share volume recorded an excellent performance with a drastic increase of up to 10 -fold to 21 million units in the trading session on Bursa Malaysia today.


Looking at the additional agreement under the existing contract with Telekom Malaysia Bhd (TM), its subsidiary Opcom Cables Sdn Bhd has secured a project worth RM8.41 million for the manufacture and supply of fiber optic cables to TM.


Opcom Holdings stated that the additional agreement will commence on 16 August 2021 until 20 May 2022.


At 10.01am, shares of Opcom Holdings rose 7.69% or four sen to 56 sen by seeing 20.92 million shares change hands from just 2.16 million yesterday.



At 56 sen, the company earned a market value of around RM99.33 million based on its 177.37 million issued shares.


The company's finances are seen recovering after the group recorded a net profit of RM2.59 million in the financial year ended March 31, 2021 compared to a net loss received of around RM7.9 million in the same period last year.


Apart from that, the company's revenue also showed an increase to RM66.99 million from RM44.45 million.


Opcom Holdings is a company that is a hot spot on the deck because among its major shareholders include Datuk Seri Mukhriz Mahathir.


According to the company’s annual report, Mukhriz owns 15.28% stake in Opcom Holdings as of July 30, 2020.
