8 Important Economic Data News Market Focus This Week (20-24 Sept 2021)

 Here are some of the important economic data that will be the focus of the market throughout the week.


RBA Meeting Minutes (Tuesday 9.30am): Investors will look into further details of the monetary policy meeting by the Reserve Bank of Australia (RBA) which took place in early September. The RBA still kept interest rates unchanged and continued with plans to reduce bond purchases but the period will be extended until February next year.


Japan Central Bank Policy Meeting (Wednesday): The Asian session on Wednesday will see the outcome of a monetary policy meeting by the Bank of Japan (BOJ) with the expectation that interest rates will be maintained and the BOJ will continue to maintain loose policy to support the Japanese economy.


 FOMC Meeting (Thursday 2.00 AM): What will be the main focus event this week is the decision of the policy meeting by the Federal Reserve (Fed) after investors await answers to the implementation of measures for policy tightening. Certainly the US dollar will display interesting movements this week.



Swiss Central Bank Policy Meeting (Thursday 3.00pm): The Swiss National Bank (SNB) is expected to continue to keep interest rates low at -0.75% unchanged. The central bank's follow -up statement on monetary policy will be noted.


European Manufacturing and Services PMI data (Thursday 4.00pm): The release of data for economic sectors in Europe especially in Germany as the largest economy will provide an assessment of the current economic health for investors.


UK Manufacturing and Services PMI data (Thursday 4.30pm): Following is data for the UK economic sector for investors to assess the current economic health as the UK is still under pressure by a number of domestic factors.


Bank of England Policy Meeting (Thursday 7.00pm): Also in the spotlight this week is the Bank of England's (BOE) decision in setting its policy after UK inflation data published positive last week raised expectations for policy tightening measures implemented by the central bank.


US Manufacturing and Services PMI data (Thursday 9.45pm): The sector of economic activity in the United States will be monitored by investors. Preliminary readings for the manufacturing and services sectors for September are still expected to be at good levels.
