Malaysian property developer Hatten Land has agreed to work with Singapore digital asset management firm Frontier to conduct joint operations in crypto mining operations.
Under the agreement, Frontier will manage and operate at least 1,000 mining machines at the Hatten Land property in Melaka and will likely grow to 3,000 machines.
Earlier, the developer had announced the re-use of retail centers in Melaka for digital activities such as crypto mining and e-commerce.
The installation of all crypto mining requirements will begin in the fourth quarter of 2021 in phases.
Hatten Land also guarantees that crypto mining this time is an environmentally friendly concept because they use solar panels installed in the roof space of the retail center for energy saving.
The mining will start with Bitcoin (BTC), followed by altcoins in the future.
Frontier is arguably savvy in crypto mining operations. Currently, the firm manages more than 700 machines in Singapore.
