The world's largest cinema chain, AMC Entertainment seems interested in adding Dogecoin (DOGE) as a payment medium for sale and purchase transactions.

The decision was taken after AMC confirmed the acceptance of Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH), Bitcoin Cash (BCH), and Litecoin (LTC) for online payments.

In a recent Twitter tweet, AMC Entertainment CEO Adam Aron conducted a poll to survey how much people are interested in DOGE payments.

I sincerely want to hear your opinion, via this Twitter Poll. By year-end 2021, AMC will take Bitcoin, Etherum, Litecoin and Bitcoin Cash for online payments. I hear from many on my Twitter feed we should accept Dogecoin too. Do you think AMC should explore accepting Dogecoin?

As a result of the results at the time this article was written, as many as 69.8% of the 112,652 respondents agreed AMC implementing DOGE payments.

While 15% of respondents rejected the offer, followed by 8.4% agreed with AMC's proposal but would not use DOGE. Meanwhile, 6.8% voted for the proposal as not important at all.

If it is true that AMC approved the presence of DOGE as a payment medium, this means the wider exposure of Dogecoin especially among movie fans after being accepted by the basketball teams, Dallas Mavericks and Newegg.

The good news comes as the crypto market is in turmoil due to the Evergrande issue, causing the BTC price to drop below $ 40,000 yesterday.

DOGE at the same time also received its impact, trading at $ 0.211, up 0.59% in 24 hours. After hitting an all -time high (ATH), $ 0.73 last May, DOGE recorded a decline of over 71%.
