XRP will be traded again on the crypto trading platform, TaoTao next week.
The decision came at a time when Ripple - Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) is still clashing over issues related to XRP's status as a security or not.
According to official reports, the TaoTao exchange will re -list XRP on September 22, at 4 pm Japanese time after the completion of maintenance scheduled for the same day.
To date, TaoTao has conducted crypto trading activities for four cryptocurrencies; Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH), Litecoin (LTC), and Bitcoin Cash (BCH).
Interestingly, on September 1 TaoTao merged with crypto exchange, SBI VC Trade a subsidiary of Japan’s leading financial firm, SBI Group.
The firm is a partner of Ripple Labs that once expressed its support for XRP as a non -securities asset.
SBI is also expected to launch the country's first crypto fund by the end of November with a view to further diversifying the investor's portfolio.
Is there a potential for XRP to record a price spike by September 22?
At the time of writing, the asset is trading at $ 1.08, up 0.03% in 24 hours.
