Filecoin (FIL) eventually collaborated with Flow Blockchain, becoming the storage provider for the blockchain.

Through an announcement two days ago, Filecoin explained the steps taken are to ensure non-fungible token (NFT) issuers and depositors are confident in the security of their assets everywhere.

Earlier in August, Dapper Labs had been working on integration between Filecoin and Flow Blockchain.

Through this collaboration, Flow users are allowed to mine NFTs, take advantage of the InterPlanetary File System (IPFS), and store tokens in Filecoin -managed decentralized storage.

Not only that, Filecoin has also launched a $ 5,000 ‘Next Step Grants’ initiative for qualified NFT projects at Flow that integrate with the Filecoin or IPFS network.

The development of the Flow ecosystem will also invite more applications to be built through Filecoin's decentralized storage solution. This will further facilitate the protection of NFT media assets and metadata.

Details about Flow Blockchain:

Launched by Dapper at the end of 2020.

It is an NFT project space that houses NBA Top Shot and CryptoKitties.

Google has partnered with Dapper as the network operator for Flow. This means Google will support the development of Web 3.0 products and services such as the NFT project with scalable and secure infrastructure.

The National Football League (NFL) partnered with Dapper to launch American football, matching the NBA Top Shot in Flow.
