The world’s largest fast food restaurant, McDonald’s has launched a set of non-fungible tokens (NFT) on October 8 in celebration of its 31st anniversary.

The set is part of a giveaway program and it contains 188 NFTs dubbed the “Big Mac Rubik’s Cube”.

However, only McDonald’s employees and customers have the opportunity to receive the giveaway and is limited to the Chinese market only.

The launch was uploaded on Conflux Network’s official Twitter account on Friday.

Details of NFTs by McDonald China:

Built on a common blockchain, Conflux.

Created in collaboration with digital asset development agency, Cocafe.

The design is based on three dimensions, according to the new office structure of McDonald China HQ.

It was a bit strange when McDonald’s China launched NFT when the country banned crypto trading and restricted any trade involving cryptocurrencies.

Among the latest, a manufacturer of necessities or crypto mining devices, Bitmain had to stop shipping Antminer mining machines to China.

For the record, a large number of McDonald’s China shares are owned by the country’s investment company, CITIC Group.
